Add an eIDAS seal only when you really need it
Not all documents require the strongest possible seal. With EpicSign, you can add an eIDAS seal only to those documents where you want to emphasize the verification of integrity and origin – without making basic use prohibitively expensive.
EpicSign supports AES-level electronic signatures with strong authentication. EU electronic signature levels (eIDAS): what’s the difference between a standard, advanced, and qualified signature?
Seal price: €1.50 / document. Added only to those documents where you want a stronger seal.
Choose the right authentication method for each agreement
Strong authentication
Bank identification and mobile certificate – strong electronic authentication approved by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV). In EpicSign, these produce an advanced electronic signature (AES) as defined by eIDAS. Available in Finland, coming soon to other countries.
Passport identification
NFC or non-NFC based international identification – works with all passports and identity documents.
Light authentication by email and handwritten signature
The signer is verified via email address and draws their signature. An alternative to strong authentication methods.

Frequently asked questions
Does the signer need an account?
No. The signer receives an invitation link via email. They authenticate using their chosen method and sign – no registration required.
What authentication methods are available?
Strong authentication (bank/mobile ID), passport identification with and without NFC, and handwritten signature with email confirmation.
Is there a free package?
Yes. The Free package includes 10 signatures per year and 1 user, permanently free of charge. No credit card required.
What file formats are supported?
Supported formats: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .pdf, .jpg, .png, and many others. Non-PDF files are automatically converted before signing.
When do I need the EpicSign-API?
The EpicSign-API is recommended when you want to integrate electronic signatures directly into your own systems – for example, ERP, CRM, customer portal, or document management. Typical scenarios include automatically initiating signature requests from your own application, returning signed documents to your own archive, and monitoring status information in real-time via webhooks. However, if you only sign documents in EpicSign's browser interface, the API is not needed.
What is the cost of using the EpicSign-API?
EpicSign API is priced separately. Request a quote by contacting our sales team. If you want to send signature requests within the EpicSign user interface, you do not need the API, and the service prices follow the normal package pricing.
Can I combine multiple files into one PDF for signing?
Yes. With PDF package assembly, you can add multiple files to the same signature package, arrange them in your desired order, and preview the result before saving. EpicSign saves the entire package as a single PDF for signature.
What are the benefits of combining files?
Often, agreements or main documents need attachments, e.g., price lists or images. You do not need a separate tool (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) if you want to combine files. You can do it directly in EpicSign before sending signature requests.
What files can be added to a PDF package?
You can add PDF documents and other supported file formats. Non-PDF files are automatically converted to PDF before the document is saved.
Are there limits to assembling a PDF package?
Yes. A single package can contain a maximum of 13 files, 455 pages, and a total size of 19.5 MB. Password-protected PDFs cannot be added to the package.
In which packages is PDF package assembly available?
The feature is available in the trial version and in Pro and Business packages. For Free and Basic packages, users will see an upgrade prompt.
